Kelly Corcoran – TCCF Honorable Mention

It was an honor to receive an Honorable Mention for the Taki Concordia Conducting Fellowship and to have the opportunity to work with Marin. She continues to be a source of inspiration for conductors around the world. I am now in my sixth season as Associate Conductor for the Nashville Symphony and recently made my conducting debut with The Cleveland Orchestra. I’m also a Music Director finalist with the Topeka Symphony as well as the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony. This season, I am also the Interim Director for the Nashville Symphony Chorus and guest conducting orchestras all around the country from Naples (FL) to Louisville (KY). The lessons learned during my time working with Marin and taking part in the training offered by the Taki Concordia Fellowship resonates with me in my work each day, helping me to find focus and intention in my craft. I care deeply about creating musical moments of great meaning and impact while showcasing the value and relevancy of orchestral music in the modern community. I’m excited to continue this journey of music-making and remain grateful for the support of mentors like Marin Alsop and programs like the Taki Concordia Conducting Fellowship.
