BSO Unveils First Tanglewood Tales Video Featuring Karina

“Ever wonder what it’s like to be a young, up-and-comer in the classical music scene? The Tanglewood Music Center is shining some light on the answer with its summer video series which spotlights six fellows from the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s summer music academy.

The first video, which runs about 22 minutes, was posted on Tuesday, including introductions to each of the fellows: Karina Canellakis (conductor); Jeffrey DeRoche (percussion); Conor McDonald (baritone); Clare Elizabeth Monfredo (cello); Masha Popova (flute); and Jacob Shack (viola).

Each of the selected profilees from The Tanglewood Music Center Fellowship Program will have the chance to work with Tanglewood faculty, members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and world-renowned visiting musicians including Yo-Yo Ma and Renee Fleming, and their journeys will be captures on video.”   Emily Wright, Boston.com
