BRAZIL!!!!

Hello everyone, I am very happy to update this blog after two busy months covering for Marin and the end of Peabody activities for this season.

Just after Thanksgiving I went to Brazil to work with Marin and the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra (OSESP). It was three weeks of hard work and a lot of great experiences and opportunities. The repertoire was gorgeous: we played Prokofiev 4; Shostakovich 7; Parade and Clarinet Concerto by Magnus Lindberg and a concert version of Porgy and Bess.

In addition to the rehearsals and concerts we had a week of recording sessions for the orchestra and the Symphonic Choir. It was intense work for all of us and an incredible experience for me. It was the first time I have been part of this kind of a recording process. It was a great experience!

The very last concert was really special! OSESP has the tradition to do an outdoor concert in a beach near Sao Paulo. We played Porgy and Bess for around 20,000 people!!!! It was a beautiful concert and it had an special meaning for me. It was the first time I covered for Marin in my country and it was my first work with that OSESP, which was a great privilege for me!

Check the video I made in the last day of concerts! I hope you enjoy!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS and see you then!
