The mission of the Taki Alsop Conducting Fellowship is to mentor, support, and promote women conductors as they advance in their professional careers.
The Taki Fellowship is currently a two-year award that primarily includes intensive coaching and mentoring with Marin Alsop and other music industry professionals. The TACF honorarium for Fellows is $25,000 over the two years; other awards are distributed on a merit basis.
Since 2003, thirty women conductors have been chosen to participate in the program and they hold 20 music director or chief conductors posts around the world.

- Curriculum Vitae, including any/all post-secondary musical education; awards, grants and recognition; and professional engagements, past and future.

- Two (2) performance videos:
- Provide the full URL for each video.
- These should be contrasting excerpts with a suggested length of 10 minutes.
- Full ensemble videos of orchestral or opera ensembles are preferred but reduced ensemble and piano will be accepted.
- Please ensure that the camera is focused on you (front view only).
- Include details about the ensemble and date of this recording in the free-text field provided.
- Informal Video Statement: The full URL to an informal 3–5 minute video recording of yourself (similar to a vlog), produced with a hand-held electronic device such as an electronic notebook or smartphone. Please answer the following questions in this video:
- What qualities do you value the most in a conductor and aspire to embody?
- What transformations in the classical music world, in your opinion, could have the most impact on the future of the industry?
May letters of recommendation be sent directly to the TACF by those who are writing them?

TACF will use best efforts to accommodate recipients/winner's visa issues but cannot guarantee the securing of any visa.
